Pixie Lott is a teen an actress, a singer who also writes her own songs and a dancer that comes from London, UK. Her real name is Victoria Louise Lott. Twelve days into next year, she will turn 20. She’s been on the scene for the past 4 years mainly on TV and shows, but it wasn’t until last year that her career really took off when she became popular with her 1st song Mama Do – Uh Oh, Uh Oh.
As much as this song was popular, so were the rest few before she came out with her 1st album – which immediately scored platinum status. And it was only natural that awards will follow. So far, she’s been nominated 10 times in less than a year and scored 4 awards – out of which 2 were by MTV Europe Music Awards last year, 1 by Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women ’09 and Virgin Media Awards. Tiny blonde mainly concentrates on poppy tunes with a mix of soul and R&B.
It was her choice of music and her instant popularity that saw her being chosen to start of Rihanna’s concert when it happens in May ’10. Apart from that she also appeared in The Saturdays when they had a concert last year as a lead in. Her music made it on Melrose Place, East Enders, Dancing on Ice and Live From Studio Five as soundtracks for the particular episodes all in ’10.
She is currently represented by Mercury Records. On a personal note, she has a bit of Italian in her which saw her attend Italian schools when she was a child before moving to Brentwood in Essex just before she entered her teens. She lives with her parents and two older siblings. It was her nick that her mum thought of that now sees Pixie Lott on the charts everywhere.
