Mia Wasikowska is an Australian film and television actress who is known for starring in the hit television series 'In Treatment'.
She was born on October 14, 1989 in Canberra, Australia. At an early age of eight, Wasikowska trained intensely in ballet.
Her passion for dancing was short-lived, when she decided to pursue a career in acting instead. Her first debut came in the small role on an Aussie soap opera in 2004 called 'All Saints'.
She later starred in the 2006 film 'Suburban Mayhem' when she was only seventeen. Her role earned her a nomination for an AFI Award.
However, her claim to fame in television series finally arrived when she played the part of Sophie, a confused gymnast in HBO's 'In Treatment'.
Wasikowska will later on be skyrocketed to fame for landing the lead role in Tim Burton's Adaptation of 'Alice In Wonderland' and another film, 'The Kids Are All Right'.
