Heather Graham was born January 29th, 1970 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her father was an FBI agent and kept a very strict household based on Catholic values. The family, which included Heather, a younger sister, and their two parents, was forced to move a lot because of the father's job. As a result, Heather Graham was a very shy child but still developed a passion for acting.
After she graduated high school, Graham moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting seriously. She landed several small roles, including in the 1989 film "Drugstore Cowboy". However, her career did not take off so Graham enrolled at UCLA for drama. She quit school after two years to pursue acting again and this time had more success. In 1996, she was in the movie "Swingers" and her career began to take shape. Afterwards, she got the role of Roller Girl in "Boogie Nights" and gained attention as well as awards for her performance.
Because of the scenes in which she appeared with frontal nudity, Graham gained a reputation as a sex symbol. This led to several other roles in major films such as "Lost in Space", "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me", and "Bowfinger". She was mainly picked for sexually charged roles like strippers or lesbians. In addition to film, Heather Graham has also appeared in many TV series and starred in a 2006 ABC series called Emily's Reasons "Why Not".
She also was the spokesperson and a model for the hair care line Garnier and did advertisements for Skyy vodka. In 2001, Heather Graham was named one of the 50 most beautiful people by "People" Magazine and has also appeared in other lists of the sexiest women. Graham isn't married but she has been in several high-profile relationships with celebrities like Chris Doyle, James Woods, Matthew Perry and Heath Ledger.
