Emmanuelle Vaugier was born and raised in Canada. She spent her formative years at an all-girls private school, where her passion for performing and her seemingly innate talent were discovered early on. Her entry into the entertainment industry came when she began working as a teenage model, and it wasn't long before Emmanuelle began taking tentative steps as an actress. She made her professional debut in 1995 with a small role in the NBC made-for-television movie "A Family Divided", in which she appeared alongside industry veterans Faye Dunaway and Stephen Collins.
Over the next few years, Vaugier appeared in a host of television shows and movies. Actress became a familiar face among Canadian viewers thanks to recurring roles on shows such as "Madison and Higher Ground", which also starred a young Hayden Christensen.
Her level of fame increased exponentially in 2002 when she took on a role opposite Josh Hartnett and Shannyn Sossamon in the sex comedy "40 Days and 40 Nights". Vaugier has since popped up on a variety of popular television shows, such as "Smallville", "One Tree Hill" and "Two and a Half Men".
If actress continues her trend of appearing in such horror flicks as "House of the Dead II: Dead Aim" (2005) and "Saw II" (2005), Vaugier certainly has the potential to pick up where Jamie Lee Curtis left off and become a contemporary Scream Queen.
In 2006, Emmanuelle punched the clock on the films "Unearthed" and "Blonde and Blonder", which stars Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards.
